Spacemen Are Sad Too

Hallow thoughts with no gravity

I float alone through time and space

Disregarding the galaxy from every angle

Surviving off of pumped oxygen

I’m one mistake from losing my breath

Far from home, I get lost in the darkness

And although I reach out to stars

In my mind, I realize how far away they are and pull back

Dreams can’t come true when they’re nonexistent

And this shuttle is not equipped for such a flight

So I drift slowly towards a black hole

All the while wishing for control of my body

Or the ability to plunge myself deeper into space

To remove the cords attached to me and freely hover

Isolated from society and surrounded by constellations

Everything I am, encircled by a glass cage

If my words could echo, the creatures in the sky would tell my story

For I wish to make my journey now

I wish for the black hole

 

 

 

 

this isn’t like me, but i don’t mind

it’s strange being in a relationship. on one hand you constantly have to check what you’re doing and for once not just think of yourself and on the other…you always have someone you can go to immediately and they’ll just get you, hold you, and be there in all the ways you want them to be. it’s both constraining and liberating, how funny. i didn’t see myself doing this the moment i entered college…but i don’t mind. one. little. bit. <3

in the catholic ghetto, born and raised

at the playground is where I bullied most of the gays

oppressing some minorities outside the school

when a couple of gays believed that they could

believed they could get married in my neighborhood
